Dacia, the Romanian carmaker has unveiled an updated version of the Duster soft –roader. The car will be globally unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. The Dacia Duster facelift has received a redesigned front end with minor tuck job.
The new grille has a prominent air intake and two chrome strips with fresh double optic headlamps. At the back, the car has an even more generous use of chrome on the exhaust pipe and the lights. It also features revised 16-inch alloy wheels and roof bars with slatted support.
The changes on the roof have been made to give the car a sporty as well as a rugged look. One of the most important changes in the car is the 4-cylinder, 1.2 TCe 125, direct injection turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine provides a maximum torque of 90% just from 1500rpm. The engine of the car also enables it to give a fuel economy of 6litre/100km.
Dacia Duster has been fitted with safety measures like front parking sensors, anti-theft system, snow chains and fire extinguisher kit. In addition to these safety measures, the electronic Stability Control, Anti Breaking Lock System and the Emergency Brake Assist have also been added in the car. The side head-and-chest airbags are also provided with the front and driver airbag.
The models with above specifications have media navigation system, which supports Bluetooth connection. It has also removed the electric window control from the central dashboard to the doors with the driver’s side having once touch mode.
