The Renault Fluence for 2014 has been spied many a time during the car’s test on the roads here in India. The facelifted edition of Renault’s flagship sedan was seen earlier this year in July as well which seems to signal that the production for the car has already begun and in all likelihood, the 2014 Auto Expo in India would see the debut of the car. Renault has decided that no new vehicles would be launched by them in India, but facelifts of the brand’s pre existing lineup such as the Duster, Koleos and Fluence would be introduced.
The debut of the facelifted version of the Fluence was in Istanbul at their Auto Show in 2012. Following this, the car’s sales began rapidly in the markets in Europe. With regard to the 2014 updated version, the head lamps now have a new design and a traditional yet all new grille has been included on the Sedan. In addition to this, the car has LED running lights which further enhance the car’s appearance and the front fascia as well.
The side and rear profile of the car continues to be the same apart from a more contemporary alloy design. Interior wise, there are not any major changes except modified upholstery for the seats. The dashboard layout continues to be the same. However, the top end models come with the new R-Link multimedia system with an integrated navigation system from Renault. The car will continue to be offered with a 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine and 2.0-liter petrol engine.
