Ashok Leyland has planned to set foot in the seven seater MPV section, with the launch of the Stile. It is basically Nissan Evalia rebadged. The upcoming Stile will be the second car from the Nissan – Ashok Leyland JV, which has still more to offer to the commercial section of passenger vehicles.
Ashok Leyland will hold a press conference in the following week and it will probably mark the launch of the Stile officially. According to different media sources, this new Ashok Leyland vehicle will be introduced on 16TH July, 2013.
When compared to Nissan Evalia, it can be concluded that while the Evalia is designed to meet the customers’ satisfaction with best comfort features, the Stile is made for the economic buyers. The Stile bears same interiors and designs as that of the Evalia, but will have plastics of different colour and revised upholstery. The Stile had gone through a series of price cutting measures to suite the pockets of a budget customer contemporary market.
It is empowered with 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine producing 86Ps in Evalia. With the help of the 5-speed manual gearbox, the power can be transferred to the front wheel. .
The Stile is planning to hit on the seven-seater MPV section as it is quite excelling these days from the commercial point of view. The other competitors in this segment are Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera.
